Overheard on the convention floor:

“They [the vendors] got smart this year. They stopped carrying anime and manga and instead they’re selling shit.”

Meanwhile, Brigid links to this post:

“Even with the recent downturn, there’s no reason to suggest that the actual popularity of anime or manga is less than it once was. Simply put, it’s not correlating to dollars and cents, where it counts.”
